I'm Angelina, a below-knee amputee, biomedical engineer, and lifelong advocate for people with limb differences. I've been an amputee for more than 30 years and have spent much of my professional life around prosthetics, biomechanics, and medical devices.
I created Adaptive Amputees because I know how overwhelming it can be to find answers, navigate prosthetic care, advocate for yourself, and figure out how to keep doing the things you love.

My Story
Born with clubfoot in Russia
I was given up for adoption with hopes that my medical needs could be addressed in America. I got a new family, a new home, and a new leg — all before I turned five.
Tinkered my way into engineering
Growing up, I was frustrated by the limits of my prosthetic. My dad and I built activity-specific legs in the garage. That curiosity became a biomedical engineering degree.
Found my calling in advocacy
I learned firsthand how hard it is to ask for the care you deserve. Now I educate and empower amputees to advocate for themselves — loudly and without apology.
