  • Toddler crying at doctors appointment after amputation

I have been an amputee for 30 years!

I was born with clubfoot in a small town in Russia. I was given up for adoption with hopes that my medical needs could be addressed in America. I got a new family, new home, and new leg all before i turned 5!

    I am a Biomedical Engineer

Growing up i was always frustrated by my leg limiting me. My dad and i would tinker in the garage and come up with activity specific legs! I knew i wanted to become an engineer and help others feel unlimited!

  • A woman with long dark hair, wearing a khaki t-shirt, distressed denim shorts, and athletic shoes, standing outdoors next to a large tree with a prosthetic leg visible. She is smiling and has her hand in her pocket, with a background of a rocky landscape and a blue sky.

    I am an amputee advocate

I have learned a lot about demanding proper care and treatment! being an amputee isn’t easy and learning how to ask for what you need is challenging! I educate and empower other amputees to be their best advocate!
